Caffé Nero in Henley on Thames had a fund raising day on behalf of Gap-Africa. Café manager, Donna Murphy, had a ‘Challenge Donna’ day where she undertook to remember what regulars drank each time they came in. What surprised everyone is Donna’s incredible memory! As visitors came in, Donna suggested what they usually drank and was right EVERY time – over 300 customers!
Donna is pictured here (on the right) with staff member, Hilary Evans (left, shaking hands), who masterminded the whole event, handing over a cheque to Gap-Africa for £1,129!

Gap-Africa is overwhelmed and grateful to Caffé Nero for hosting such an event, and particularly Hilary and Donna, and for taking on what must have been a stressful day!
Gap-Africa has many corporate partners who make a huge difference to the 7,500 children in Kenya who’s lives we all touch with our work, so we welcome Caffé Nero for their much appreciated help. We will post another blog in six months time telling you all what Caffé Nero achieved and how the funding was used, this in itself determined by Caffé Nero and staff themselves.
Thank you Donna and Hilary!
