As reported in July 2014 Caffe Nero in Henley on Thames had a challenge day and collection period of several weeks. They raised funding that was used to build a new classroom for the Standard 8 pupils at Kikunduku Primary School in Kenya, as seen on the wall plaque outside the classroom in the photo below. Wall plaques are used to offer as much information as possible, this explains why Caffe Nero and Gap-Africa seem, to the local community, as being one and the same thing. The same applies to Shiplake College, our main fund-raiser.
Next time you pass a Caffe Nero – pop in for a coffee as a small ‘thank you’, and say thanks to Donna and Hilary in Henley who organised the event.
